| Harris Laboratory: A part of the CRI family
In 1958, Harris Laboratories began providing soil-testing services to the agricultural industry. Built on a reputation for employing skilled associates educated in cutting-edge technology, the business grew to become the largest independent soil-testing laboratory in the nation. In addition, Harris was the first laboratory of its kind to become accredited by the American Association of Laboratory Accreditation. In 1996, Toronto- based
MDS Inc. acquired Harris Laboratories.
In 2006,AgSource acquired Harris Laboratories.
AgSource, headquartered in Verona, Wis., is a subsidiary of
Cooperative Resources International and a member-owned cooperative
that provides agricultural testing and management information
services to more than 7,000 members, with seven locations throughout
the upper Midwest and Idaho. Agricultural testing services offered
by AgSource include milk quality, soil fertility, forage nutrient,
water, wastewater, food pathogen and various microbiological
testing.
